What soil are you? Can you receive healing?

Fam! Welcome! It's great to have you here! Let's with one voice say: "The Lord is good and His mercies endures forever! Amen.

Let's pray: Father we love you, you are awesome, breathe in our souls and revive our hearts and strengthen us to continuously walk in your path. Speak to us through the words, we thank you for the bread, Amen.

Today our message is from Matthew chapter 13, the whole chapter is a meal on its own, a King's table of food, you have to read it. I would zoom on on specific verses that gave me a new perspective.

The question is what type of soil are you? Your heart is the soil and can it receive?

Matthew 13:18(NLT)

18 Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds:

• The Footpath Soil:

Matthew 13:19(NLT)

19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don't understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts.

•The Rocky Soil:

Matthew 13:20-21(NLT)

20 The seed on the Rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy.

21 But since they don't have deep roots, they don't last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God's word.

•The Thorny Soil:

Matthew 13:22(NLT)

22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God's word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.

•The Good Soil:

Matthew 13:23(NLT)

23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God's word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!

Why can't people receive healing?

It's the posture of the heart, holding on to past memories and events. Not willing to change their minds and refusing to receive hep.

You can say it's not your fault but others caused it and you will hold on till they apologise, sometimes they may not apologise. You end up hurting yourself more. It's like injecting poison into your heart soil and plants can't grow in that environment.

You won't bear good fruit of love, peace, joy and sound mind. If you bear fruit from that state, it will be bitterness, anger, strife, sleepless nights and all these negative emotions which lead to bad health.

You forgive for yourself.

Matthew 13:15(NLT)

15 For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes - so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.

How to receive healing?

Come to Jesus, be honest and tell him how you feel, what you think, be open and truthful, lay it at His feet. Then ask for His help, be open and willing to let it go.

Plus when you feel it's hard ask Him for strength to do this process one step at a time, allow yourself to cry out the pain, let the tears flow but don't get stuck there, let God carry you forward, the healing process is a journey.

Prayer:

Father, I speak healing into the hearts of your people, I silence every lie that springs up, I pray for release of old memories that pop-up from time to time.

Father let your love wrap around and in them deeply, I speak your peace that surpasses all understanding, Lord you see it all, let your will be done, we love you, In Jesus Name, Amen.
