This is the day the Lord has made, let us come to Him with thanksgiving. Let us use some few seconds to thank God for His goodness. You are alive, you are safe, you are healthy, you survived, just thank Him.

Welcome fam, to another day, let's be open to receive.

Let's pray: Father we love you, we see you and we bless you. We thank you for the bread, breathe on it and let your fresh Spirit revive our hearts and grant us understanding, Amen.

Proverbs 21 is where we would be studying from, and I've highlighted some key verses that speaks to and about the heart. Let's read.

Proverbs 21:1(NLT)

The King's heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; he guides it wherever he pleases.

Note:

To have a heart of a king is by allowing yourself to be directed and guided by the Lord. Not a stale or stagnant heart but a moving and flowing heart. A heart which seeks to please God.

Proverbs 21:21(NLT)

21 Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness and honour.

Note:

What do you seek? What is driving you or leading you? Which desires do you have? What seed are you planting in your heart? What do you believe?

Pursuing righteousness and unfailing love is not about human beings, these attributes points us to God.

He is the only one who makes us righteous and gives us unconditional love, His unfailing love begun before you came into this world. As you follow Him you would find life, righteousness and honour.

Life is purpose, vision, faith, hope, strength and His Spirit.

Righteousness is salvation through Christ, a renewed spirit and continuous renewal of the soul your mind.

Honour is His glory and covering attached to your name. You are submerged in His blessing and marked as His own, from you to your descendants.

Proverbs 21:30-31(NLT)

30 No human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the Lord.

31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.

Notes:

In all your planning and preparation seek the Lord, He is the One who gives the victory. Pay attention, silence the noise and distractions and lean in. Ask Him to examine your heart, it desires and pursuits.

Let Him replace them with His, His ways are better and refined. More rewarding than what you have in mind. Don't depend on your assessment go through the process of refining.

Proverbs 21:2(NLT)

2 People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.

Prayer:

Father create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Give us strength to release control of how we want things to be. Give us peace in our pursuit of you. Lead us, we love you, Amen.

Do you know Jesus? Do you want to personally know Him? Yes! Say with me:

Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sin, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

May the peace of God fill you!
