‎It's morning, wake up, don't over sleep. We carry good news, let's get ready our praise song. For something powerful is happening. Welcome family, if you are new we are glad to have you, this is the Lord's house of bread.

‎Let's pray:

‎Father we thank you for your bread, for the joy we receive, help us to understand your words and teach your words to others, Amen.

‎Let's break bread:

‎Judges 11:11(NLT)

‎11 So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him their ruler and commander of the army. At Mizpah, in the presence of the Lord, Jephthah repeated what he had said to elders.

‎Judges11:29(NLT)

‎At that time the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he went throughout the land of Gilead and Manasseh, including Mizpah in Gilead, and from there he led an army against the Ammonites.

‎Now let's identify what happens to the leader who the Spirit of the Lord comes upon:

‎1. You become fully aware of the Lord's presence.

‎2. You consult the Lord in all matters.

‎Notes:

‎I want us to pay attention to the presence of the Lord, in verse 11, at Mizpah, He tells the Lord all that happens between himself and the elders. Here I see openness and trust plus dependency on God. He does this in His presence.

‎3. The Spirit of the Lord rests on him.

‎Notes:

‎This means the Lord's Spirit abides with him, covers him and blesses all his endeavors. (Please note when I use Him, it represents both male and female)

‎4. The Spirit of the Lord leads him.

‎Notes:

‎In verse 29, Jephthah went throughout the land, this means the Lord gave him strength to sail through, the ability to gather men (resources) into the army he was building, helping him identify the right people. Plus an excellent spirit is given to him.

‎Why do I say this? To be able to go throughout an entire region means you didn't become choosy or picky or even intimidated. He gathered all who will follow, this speaks to the influence God gives.

‎5. You begin everything from His presence and lead from His presence.

‎Notes:

‎In verse 29, He gathered people from Mizpah in the presence of the Lord, this means there are some key people and instructions you can only get from His presence at the Lord's table. He led from the Lord's presence, this means He knew who the victory depended on. It wasn't in all the resources he had gathered but in the Lord. He led from the headquarters of the Lord, the main command center.

‎Brothers and sisters as you and I, begin our next big move, we do it in the Lord (abide) and from His presence. If you want the Lord to lead you and rest on you say with me:

‎Dear Jesus, abide with me, rest on me, lead me, come into my heart be my Lord, Saviour and King. I repent of my sins and my will to have things go my way, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen!

‎Father we thank you, help us to walk with you and remember we are One with you, Amen.

‎He is with you always.
