Victory Belongs To The Lord

Judges 7:9-15(NLT)

9 That night the Lord said, "Get up! Go down into the Midianite camp, for I have given you victory over them!

10 But if you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah.

11 Listen to what the Medianites are saying and you will be greatly encouraged. Then you will be eager to attack." So Gideon took Purah and went down to the edge of the enemy camp.

12 The armies of Midian, Amalack, and the people of the east had settled in the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels were like grains of sand on the seashore- too many count!

13 Gideon crept up just as a man was telling his companion about a dream. The man said, 'I had this dream, and in my dream a loaf of barley bread came tumbling down into the Midianite camp. It hit a tent, turned it over, and knocked it flat! "

14 His companion answered, "Your dream can only mean one thing - God has given Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite, victory over Midian and its allies! "

15 When Gideon heard the dream and it's interpretation, he bowed in worship before the Lord. Then he returned to the Israelite camp and shouted, "Get up! For the Lord has given you victory over the Midianite hordes!"

Praise the Lord! For He has given us victory!

Good morning lovely people of God, I have a testimony of divine provision but before that I want us to pay attention to verse 13.

The Bread:

The Bread represents the Word of God. We also pray in Matthew 6:11 "give us this day our daily bread" (The Lord's Prayer). It doesn't just mean food, but the daily wisdom and truth of God to nourish us each day. Jesus also says He is the bread of life. This means He is life, this also let's you know that anyone who partakes of His Bread has eternal life.

The Bread which is also the word of God has all that you need to fulfill God's promises. If the Lord has given you a word for the day or for the future, know it won't return to Him void.

His Word is more than an army, His Word carries weight, weight that you can't imagine. Every obstacle will be crashed flat into non existence, if you see debris, it is to serve as evidence of what was and is no more.

Testimony:

I closed from work, was at the bus stop about to join a bus home, all of a sudden I decided not to take that bus because it wasn't headed towards my destination and almost full, so I let another person take the seat, I felt I shouldn't rush. A few seconds or minutes later, one of the senior workers at where I worked, walked towards me asking where I was headed, I mentioned the closest landmark to the house, he said no problem I could join his car. During our conversation on the way, he made mention of a route he was going to take because of his destination, surprisingly that route would get me right at my door step. I quickly explained how beneficial that would be for me and got straight home.

I was greatful but I felt I should check my bag and see the amount of money I had on me. To my shock! I didn't have money only one cedi coin. I realised I had forgotten to cash out money for transportation when I was leaving work. Just imagine, boarding a bus without money and when asked to pay the transportation you check your bag and no money. I was just shocked.

My Father in Heaven, knew the amount of money in my bag, even I forgot my own needs, He didn't have to be loud, just quietly he sorted me out. That's the Father I have. Extra blessing of chocolate was given that day at work.

I urge you to count your blessings and name them one by one.

Prayer:

Thank You Father, for what you have done for us. We believe without a doubt that the plans you have for us are good, right down to the timing of it all. We receive with joy and expectation all that you have for us in Jesus Name Amen.

I invite you, if you don't know Jesus to be your bread of life, Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and saviour, I partake of your bread and receive eternal life. I thank you for making all the dead things come alive in my life. In Jesus Name Amen.
