•A Few:
Judges 7:7(NLT)
7 The Lord told Gideon, "With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home.
The Lord takes the little you have and turns it into something big, it's like having a tiny seed. He usually strips away or sorts out what you need and don't need. It can sometimes leave you with so little, you wonder if it's possible. It can be creativity, strategy, a teachers heart, a love for children, it's all in seed form. Give it to Him to bless it, so it multiplies just like the five loaves and two fish used to feed the 5000 people when Jesus blessed it.
•An Instruction:
Judges 7:9(NLT)
9 That night the Lord said, "Get up! Go down into the Midianite camp, for I have given you victory over them!
Father gives us a set of instructions on how to develop the seed, or word, he has given us, your idea, project, talent, skills, vision. He won't leave you to figure it out on your own, you became partners the moment you gave Him your seed. Don't rush the process. When it's time and through each stage he would guide you and inform. He is all knowing. Let Him cook the rice.
•Encouragement:
Judges 7:10-11(NLT)
10 But if you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah.
11 Listen to what the Midianites are saying, and you will be greatly encouraged. Then you will be eager to attack. So Gideon took Purah and went down to the edge of the enemy camp.
Father, encourages, he sends witnesses your way, he gives evidence, not to prove himself but to develop faith in you, it helps you to develop trust and belief. It's assurance, it's also like a currency to purchase. He sees and knows the times you tried, the assessment of others and your limits. He says to look at Him, don't think small, think big and trust Him.
•A Worship of Thanksgiving:
Judges 7:15(NLT)
15 When Gideon heard the dream and it's interpretation, he bowed in worship before the Lord. Then he returned to the Israelite camp and shouted, "Get up! For the Lord has given you victory over the Midianite hordes!
When you receive the word of encouragement or evidence of victory, you give thanks, it can be monetary offering to tell God you believe and trust him, it can be a praise offering declaring His victory. The important thing is to give thanks and declare His victory.
•A Call and Rallying of troops:
Judge 7:16(NLT)
16 He divided the 300 men into three groups and gave each man a ram's horn and a clay jar with a torch in it.
To put together what you will need, to plan, to begin the steps to implement, to start building your ark because the rains are coming.
•At the Edge:
Judges 7:17-18(NLT)
17 Then he said to them, "Keep your eyes on me. When I come to the edge of the camp, do just as I do.
18 As soon as I and those with me blow the ram's horns, blow your horns, too, all around the entire camp and shout, 'For the Lord and for Gideon! '
At the edge is when you are in close proximity, at this stage you need to focus on the Lord and remember, the Lord who made heaven and earth, the One who sits on the throne is on your side. Don't be distracted, don't let worry or opposition talk you out of it. Look to Jesus and obey every instruction He gives you. Follow!
•Ram horns, Broken clay jars and Blazing torches:
Judges 7:20(NLT)
20 Then all three groups blew their horns and broke their jars. They held the blazing torches in their left hands and the horns in their right hands, and they all shouted, "A sword for the Lord and for Gideon."
The Ram horns: It is the sound you make, everyone has been given a sound, it takes different shapes and forms. This time you let out that sound, you begin to implement and activate all that God has deposited in you, as you do this another process begins.
The breaking of the jars: It symbolises a surrender of our wills, of ourselves, self-dependence and rooted perspectives. It's a period of uprooting, stretching and planting. It's at this point you sow in tears, you wrestle with obedience. In this place an alignment forms.
The blazing torch: The blazing torch and the ram's horn go together. The fire of the Lord, you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill for all to see. It's a coming out stage which is accompanied by the sound God has given you to let loose on earth. Your talents, gifts, ideas, strategy would carry the Spirit of God, a very hot movement, a rapidly burning fire, large works and moves of God.
•Stand in position:
Judges 7:21(NLT)
21 Each man stood in at his position around the camp and watched as all the Midianites rushed around in panic, shouting as they ran to escape.
Do not be tempted to use your own might to win, also do not let another person shift you from what God has called you to, no turning back. Stand and see what God would do. Watch the doors open for you and the resources delivered to you. Your Father would always provide for what has His name and backing. Don't worry or fear.
•The Lord's Victory:
Judges 7:22(NLT)
22 When the 300 Israelites blew their ram's horns, the Lord caused the warriors in the camp to fight against each other with their sounds. Those who were not killed fled to places as far away as Beth-shittah near Zererah and to the border of Abel-meholah near Tabbath.
With the few, with your tiny seed, your gift, talent, idea, the Lord will give you victory. He would do the impossible. The enemy, the problem or obstacle may seem great. But the Lord is going to flex his muscles for you to see. His mighty hand would cause shifts and movements.
Prayer:
Thank you Lord for victory. You move mountains and you cause walls to fall. With your power you perform miracles. And there is nothing that is impossible for you. Praise be to your Holy Name.
I invite you to make Jesus the Lord of your life, Dear Lord, come into my heart, I repent of my sins, I make you my Lord and Saviour. I receive your love and I thank you for my new life in you. Teach me your ways Lord. Amen.
Begin your sound of victorious praise!
