The Promise of the Holy Spirit

Acts 1:1-5(NLT)

1 In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach

2 until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit.

3 During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.

4 Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, "Do not leave Jerusalem until the father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before.

5 John baptised with water, but in just a few days you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit."

Acts 2:1-6(NLT)

1 On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.

2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.

3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them

4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

5 At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem.

6 When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by the believers.

Acts 2:12-14(NLT)

12 They stood there amazed and perplexed. "What can this mean?" they asked each other.

13 But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, "They're just drunk, that's all!"

14 Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, "Listen carefully all of you, fellow jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this.

Today, I have message, really simple; wait and recieve a fresh and new pouring of the Holy Spirit for the new mission and call the Lord has for you.

He has gone before you and is with you. Pray and give yourself some days to fast, this is to get you ready for what is next.

When His Spirit overflows in you, it would cause a tremendous change and shift in you and your environment.

Many would like to or would define you by their own measures of understanding, don't be boxed to their comments or descriptions or perspectives or their past memory of you, for they do not know it all.

Your destiny, your specific language, your talent, your currency will draw the right people, spaces and means to be a witness of the Lord to the nations. No matter the vehicles you would use to reach the world, whether through podcast, building schools, through government projects and policies, remember the mission is Jesus.

Do not fear, don't be scared of the people in the board room, on the table, in your team, in the political arena. For the Lord says in Jeremiah 1:19(NLT): "They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will look after you. I, the Lord, have spoken! "

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we love you, we lift your name above the earth, You are the Sovereign King, You are also our Father who takes care of us and appoints us. The ONE before the foundations of the world. We your children receive You, Your mission and all resources that come with you. We bless your Holy Name, In Jesus Name Amen.
