The Love Gap
Did you know everyone has a love gap?

Genesis 2:20-22(NLT)
20 He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper right for him.
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the opening.
22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and He brought her to the man.
As I read, the verse that stood out to me was verse 21.

You can highlight it the part in red. There are five important things I want to share with you.
The first thing is seen in verse 20, after he named the creatures, he found no helper for him, it's like when we flood the earth with all these ideas, business ventures, creative studios, travels, adventures, eating the best culinary, giving it your everything but feeling unsatisfied, empty, depressed, shut out, angry, overloaded, uncertain and exhausted.
One of the things we do is, we keep repeating the same cycle to solve it. Today I have a message, come and rest.
The second thing, verse 21, God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep, He gave Adam rest, for his disappointed heart, for his tired body, for his overloaded mind, for his uncertain circumstance.
The third thing, still verse 21, God took out a rib, I would call this house cleaning, the things you feel or think you need to be dependent on to survive, the thing which you use as an energy booster, the thing you use to fill the void, it can be your job, an addiction, entertainment, food, friend groups, titles, prestige, wealth, pride, clothing and anything that you use to escape the troubles you face.
The fourth thing is still seen in verse 21, "HE CLOSES THE GAP". He removed the rib, which represents all the things that gave structure and closed the gap. He filled the gap.
God fills the gap himself before Eve came along. God filled the emptiness, He took the weights, He took the burdens and replaced it with Himself. Just like how He sent His Son to die to bare our sins, our pain, our sicknesses, our weakness, our anguish, our depression and all the things you feel or tag impossible.
He paid the price for it all.
The fifth thing, then the Lord made a woman from the rib and brought her to Adam. Now it was after He was done filling the emptiness before He sent Adams help meet.
Sometimes you are looking for a breakthrough or a supply of a need. We can become desperate it becomes an idol. We seek love, fulfillment, joy, strength on the gifts and treasures God gives us but not Him. We go to our jobs, spouses, accomplishments, children and others.
Today, I invite you to be filled with the unfailing Love of God, Unconditional Love, a Love that never leaves or fails.
Let's pray, Dear Lord, please take away the rib and fill me with your love.
If you want to dedicate your life to Jesus let's pray. Dear Lord, I've heard about your Love, to day I receive your son Jesus who died for me as my Lord, Saviour and King. I lay everything down, forgive me for my sins and refine me in Jesus Name Amen.
I almost forgot the special gift, everytime we release something we hold so tightly in our hands to God. He refines it and gives it back to us more beautiful than we can imagine.
Just like how Adam's rib was used to form Eve. Receive an upgrade and your gift in Jesus Name Amen.
