Morning fam!
This is another blessed day. If you didn't have a good night's rest, do not worry Father has joy for you this morning and peaceful rest from His Spirit.
We've got a unique table set up for you but before we dine, let's pray:
Father we thank you for your love, we thank you for your bread and table set before us, we receive Your Spirit, breathe on us Your Joy and Peace. Speak to us, Amen.
Today, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, I discovered or should I say my eyes were open to see a special occurrence in the Lineage of Caleb.
Caleb and Joshua were part of the 12 leaders sent by Moses to scout the promise land. They were the only ones who brought back a good report.
They believed it was possible for the people to enter the promise land and have victory over the giants and mighty cities.
Though their words fell on deaf ears, the Lord granted them, the only ones in their generation, an inheritance in the Land.
None of the people in their generation entered the promise land with the younger generation. The older generation grambled, complained and didn't move, so couldn't inherit the land, they all died in the wilderness.
Now the next generation have arrived at the promise land.
Joshua 15:13-14 (NLT)
13 The Lord commanded Joshua to assign some of Judah's territory to Caleb son of Jephunneh. So Caleb was given the town of Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), which had been named after Anak's ancestor.
14 Caleb drove out the three groups of Anakites - the descendants of Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the sons of Anak.
Note: The sons of Anak were the giants in the Land. The inheritance God blesses you with, will have giants and obstacles. The victory is won but you need to posses the land.
He has already gone ahead of you. So begin your work and through this you will birth legacy.
In the book of 1 Chronicles, reading from chapter 2 is where I noticed an unusual occurrence, all the children of Caleb and their descendants where founders, let me say it again Founders, not just any type.
They founded, clans, families, towns and owned lands.
One descendant Salma was the founder of Bethlehem and the descendants of Salma were the people of Bethlehem. (Read 1 Chronicles 2:50-55)
Another descendant Shobal founder of Kiriath-jearim came the people of Zorah and Eshtaol and the town of Zorah and Eshtaol was were Samson was born and buried beside his father. (Read Judges 14-17)
The whole Chapter two of 1 Chronicles, shows a legacy, his descendants founded key towns from which greatness was born, most importantly the Messiah, Jesus our Lord came from the town of Bethlehem.
Don't stop fighting, your descendants are looking up to you. God is on your side, He won't give you a fight He knows you can't win.
Side note He already won it, step into it with authority and conquer for it's yours. The business, the project, the book, the contract, the song, no matter what it looks like, do it.
Let's pray:
Father we love you and say thank you for this word, for giving us assurance and hope, it's not just about us but bigger than us, we avail ourselves to you, to do mighty works in your name, to bring you honour, we receive your love, In Jesus Name, Amen.
Do you want to know Jesus, say with me:
Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.
