Ecclesiastes 3:2(NLT)
2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.
Today the message, I have been given for both you and I, is we are next. It's our time.
This morning, was led to read, "1 Chronicles 2:7 to 1 Chronicles 4:10". This part of scripture talks about lineages and descendants of a family, to founders, to fathers, to sons, to daughters, to people, to nations, a continuous heritage.
Then I got the the story of a man named Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). His name meant pain and was given to him by his mother because his birth was so painful.
Jabez requested of God to bless him and expand his territory. He also asked God to be with him in all that he does and for God to keep him from trouble and pain. And God granted his request.
The day before today, I learnt I didn't have to perform for God to love me. That means my actions don't determine or influence His love. The names people call us by or the opinions people have about us don't determine His blessings. Neither my good or bad or past or present or future can take His love away.
God freely loves and blesses. He already wants to bless you. I realised all the blessings I received came at a time I knew I didn't deserve it or work for it.
There is a heart posture Jabez had which I want us to pay attention to:
To be blessed and multiply.
For God to be with him in all that he does.
For God to keep him from all trouble and pain.
He requested for the things that God already desires to do for him. His heart was in alignment with God and ready to receive.
God wants you to blessed and multiply. He wants to guide you and teach you, to be with you every step of the way, He wants to keep you from trouble and pain. He wants to cover you.
Today, the message is you are the next one, it's your time today, you've begun, you're the next one in your family, bloodline and ancestory. God has touched you and says it's your season, walk with Him.
Let's pray, thank you Lord for the call, we agree to walk as the next people in this time and season. Thank you for your presence that went ahead, that leads, that covers, that walks with us in Jesus Name Amen.
