Sometimes do you feel you need someone to mediate between you and God?
Like a person who comes to join friends together.

Hi fam, welcome.
I'm Elizabeth, the writer of these blogs and your sister in Christ. This is a quick introduction to every new reader or listener. I am partnered with Sweet Holy Spirit who is our Master Chef for all the excellent meals prepared here.
Today we have a lovely table set before us, but before we eat, let's give thanks:
Father we thank you for your word, let it bring healing to our bodies, nourishment to our souls and strength to our bones. Fill us with a fresh pour of your Spirit, we receive your love, Amen.
Now let's eat:
Job 16:18-22(NLT)
18 "O earth, do not conceal my blood. Let it cry out on my behalf.
19 Even now my witness is in heaven. My advocate is there on high.
20 My friends scorn me, but I pour out my tears to God.
21 I need someone to mediate between God and me, as a person mediates between friends.
22 For soon I must go down that road from which I will never return.
This is a speech from Job a very wealthy man in the bible, who lost everything, from children, to business, to his health, I mean all he had.
In this pain, he didn't understand what was happening and was asking why God treated him this way. He spoke about his faithfulness to God yet still calamity came at his door step and took everything but for his life.
He felt his prayers were not heard, he wondered how he could reach God and argue his case, he wanted someone who could speak on his behalf. He was searching for a witness, advocate and a mediator.
Someone may ask why did all of this happen to Mr. Job. The answer is He was found faithful and was selected to go through this test. Approval was given to the enemy to do this task. The Story of Job let's you know storms happen to both the wicked and the righteous but for the righteous we have someone special who gives us an advantage.
His name is Jesus Christ, He is the one who speaks on our behalf in the Heavenly court when the enemy accuses us before God, He is the one who restores our relationship with our Heavenly Father, He is our witness, the one who has walked on this earth and gone through the trials we have faced and can speak on our behalf.
The one who bridges the friendship between us and God. He is the Son of God, the only begotten Son of the Father who died for our sins to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and gave us a new life in Him.
At the end of Job's trail or test, he received a double portion of everything he lost, but that wasn't the greatest gift or victory. The greatest was, he had seen the Lord for himself.
He saw the Lord, spoke to him, a one on one conversation, when I read the story of Job, even though God answers him back with questions, those questions are answers to the doubts Job has, I see an assurance and a hidden message which points to God's Sovereignty and His trust in those who trust Him.
God trusts you and is proud of how you have stood firm in those battles, even during times you didn't want to continue but you held on.
You weren't alone, our Lord Jesus was speaking on your behalf, he went to war for you. Both Jesus and God are on your side, they shut the mouth of the enemy.
If you don't know Jesus but you want to have a person who has your back in the storm say with me:
Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.
Let's pray:
Father we receive your blessings, I speak healing, restoration, rest, hope, a new vision, endurance, truth and soundness of mind. We silence every lie of the enemy, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Don't be afraid, God loves you and is on your side.
The only way to see why the storm happened is to ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to see the lessons in the storm.
