#Give an End of Year Thanksgiving Offering

Hi fam, it's the last day of the year 2025, I want us to sit and reflect about all the things God has done for you this year but not only that, for your entire life to this moment now.

Let's pray:

Father we honour you, we are grateful for the opportunity to say thank you and a chance to see all your goodness. Thank you for today's bread, let it fill us with Your Spirit and a Spirit of Gratitude, Amen.

Today we would be dinning in the Book of Judges. Specifically zooming in on the Story of Samson. Before this scripture unfolds, Samson has found a young Philistine woman pleasing to his eyes and asks his parents to "Get her for him", (Judges 14:2 NLT).

So on their way to discuss marriage at where this young woman was, something happened on the road.

Judges 14:5-9(NLT)

5 As Samson and his parents were going down to Timnah, a young lion suddenly attacked Samson near the vineyards of Timnah.

6 At that moment the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion's jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it easily as if it were a young goat. But he didn't tell his father or mother about it.

7 When Samson arrived on Timnah, he talked with the woman and was pleased with her.

8 Later, when he returned to Timnah for the wedding, he turned off the path to look at the carcass of the lion. And he found that a swarm of bees had made some honey in the carcass.

9 He scooped some of the honey into his hands and ate it along the way. He also gave some to his father and mother, and they are it. But he didn't tell them he had taken the honey from the carcass of the lion.

Notes:

•The young lion sudden attack is when life hits us with many storms, problems, chaos, negative emotions, heartbreak or disappointment.

•The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him is to remind us of when God provided and saved us, where the lack, negative circumstances or darkness wanted to overwhelm us but God powerfully walked us through and strengthened us to face what life brought.

•The carcass of the lion represents the past, the old memories.

•The honey points to wisdom received upon reflection and insights also gained.

•Samson giving the honey represents our testimonies and victories we share.

Today have a posture of thankfulness, for God kept you and you are alive in Him. Remember all His goodness and give Him praise.

Let's pray:

Dear Jesus we are grateful, we apologise for taking you for granted and not seeing the many blessings you give.

Today we say thank you for giving is yourself and taking care of us in a beautiful special way.

As we end this year and our fast we say glory, honour, power and victory to you, we love you, Amen.

If you want to receive Jesus, to be made new and whole, say with me:

Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen!

Happy End of Year! Plus Happy New Year! God loves You!
