Morning, I'm awake and I hope you are too. Welcome, brothers and sisters, we've been expecting you.
I bring you good news. First let's give thanks:
Father thank you. You are the giver of all things. There is nothing more special, than having you and not your gifts. To be dependent on you is not scary but safety. Today we your children have our eyes fixed on you and not on your hands. Let this word fill our core and overflow our being, we receive your love, Amen.
It's time, let's eat:
Today I'll be reading a passage which speaks to me in the right moment at the appointed time of which many are familiar with, but today I want us to come with an open perspective.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10(NLT)
9 There was a man named Jabez who was more honourable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful.
10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!" And God granted him his request.
I want us to highlight the phrase "please be with me in all that I do". Personally I have been waiting for a sound before I make a move, during my wait, I realised everything is fine with me but I felt I lacked something very important, I was calling it a spark of fire or Joy or passion.
I wasn't dead within. I didn't give up hope. Just needed my sound. I move by a rhythm and a beat to create. It's like a different air and space. So I don't move till I hear my sound, it's like when you're about to race and you need to hear the sound, Go!
Yesterday, as I was having my evening study, I was led to Acts chapter 2 which says, "The Holy Spirit Comes".
Acts 2:2-4 (NLT)
2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.
3 Then what looked like flames of tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.
(Notes: This gives me a picture of lit candles whose light are to shine across the world)
4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
This is a fresh pouring of the Holy Spirit, just like how you take fresh breath of oxygen each second. He fills us and gives us the ability to create what God has laid on our hearts.
He's your co-partner and the missing piece. Always start with Him, He was there from the beginning as God created all things. He is wisdom, knowledge, understanding, Truth and all that you need. Lean on Him.
Let's pray:
Father we receive your Holy Spirit who is your consciousness (the mind and heart of God) , we thank you for answering our request and giving us understanding of what we yearned for, we love you and we see you, Amen.
If you want to receive Jesus, the resurrected King, who put sin and grave to shame say with me:
Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.
A fresh fill of His Spirit.
