Made Great By Your Heavenly Father

‎Hi fam,

‎Welcome again and if you are new I'm your Host Elizabeth, you can call me Beth. I am the co-chef for this house of bread and today our Heavenly Father has laid a delicious, healthy, power packed meal for us.

‎Let's pray:

‎Father we receive your word let it fill our hearts and bear good fruit, help us remember without a shadow of doubt that this is from you, Amen. Love you Lord.

‎Let's eat:

‎We are in the 1st Book of Kings Chapter 1. King David is now very old and it's time for the throne to be passed on to the next generation.

‎It's interesting how Solomon gets chosen before He is crowned.

‎From 1 Kings 1:1-35 you see an example of "your name is in the room".

‎Not only that, you see a picture of someone interceding on behalf of another. Plus a mother speaking for her child.

‎For those who are not in good relationships with their parents or have lost them or don't even know who they are.

‎Our Lord Jesus sits at the right hand of God Our Father and speaks on our behalf during times when we can't.

‎This is to encourage those who don't have any voice speaking for you or covering you. The Lord says He is the one who will put your name on people's lips and He will cover you under His wings.

‎He himself chooses you, appoints you and crowns you. As you read today's scripture take it as a promise from your Heavenly Father, that you would be made great by Him.

‎1 Kings 1:33-40(NLT)

‎33 the king said to them, “Take Solomon and my officials down to Gihon Spring. Solomon is to ride on my own mule.

‎34 There Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet are to anoint him king over Israel. Blow the ram’s horn and shout, ‘Long live King Solomon!’

‎35 Then escort him back here, and he will sit on my throne. He will succeed me as king, for I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and Judah.”

‎36 “Amen!” Benaiah son of Jehoiada replied. “May the Lord, the God of my lord the king, decree that it happen.

‎37 And may the Lord be with Solomon as he has been with you, my lord the king, and may he make Solomon’s reign even greater than yours!”

‎38 So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and the king’s bodyguard took Solomon down to Gihon Spring, with Solomon riding on King David’s own mule.

‎39 There Zadok the priest took the flask of olive oil from the sacred tent and anointed Solomon with the oil. Then they sounded the ram’s horn and all the people shouted, “Long live King Solomon!”

‎40 And all the people followed Solomon into Jerusalem, playing flutes and shouting for joy. The celebration was so joyous and noisy that the earth shook with the sound.

‎Let's pray:

‎Father we say Amen and receive your love which carries all of your heart desire for us. We love you and honour you too. Amen.

‎If you want to have a personal relationship with Jesus, say with me:

‎Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

‎Take courage and be strong in the Lord.
