Is it okay to ask God for better?

‎Hi Fam,we are back!

‎Let's give thanks:

‎Father lead us, bless the bread and let your word ignite a fiery expectation. Help us level up our faith in what you can do. Give us peace and a hope. We receive your love, Amen.

‎Let's break bread:

‎Today's message is simple. First the answer is, YES! YES! YES!

‎Last night I was having a conversation with God about something important to my heart. The truth is during the day, I got exposed to a better life.

‎It's like a part of you realises you can upgrade your standards, you can expand and grow. Plus you can break out of the time lines society gives you for how your life is supposed to look like.

‎It was such a refreshing upgrade and indeed the first person I told was God, I wanted His thoughts, His wisdom and most importantly His approval.

‎You already know the answer; He approved.

‎He led me to 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 one of my favorite scriptures but this time He surprised me with a beautiful story of the Descendants of Simeon. Main focus is the wealthy clans who sought to expand their territory to feed their growing families.

‎1 Chronicles 4:38-43(NLT)

‎38 These are the names of some of the leaders of Simeon's wealthy clans. Their families grew,

‎39 and they traveled to the region of Gerar, in the east part of the valley, seeking pastureland for their flocks.

‎40 They found lush pastures there, and the land was spacious, quiet, and peaceful. Some of Ham's descendants had been living in that region.

‎41 But during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah, these leaders of Simeon invaded the region and completely destroyed the homes of the descendants of Ham and of the Meunites. No trace of them remains today. They killed everyone who lived there and took the land for themselves, because they wanted it's good pastureland for their flocks.

‎42 Five hundred of these invaders from the tribe of Simeon went to Mount Seir, led by Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel - all sons of Ishi.

‎43 They destroyed the few Amalekites who had survived and they lived there since.

‎Today, I want you to identify, old habits, thinking patterns, cultural perspectives, old traditions that prevents you from reaching for better and ask God to help you conquer them.

‎He already said victory is yours.

‎Father we love you, give us the courage, the strength to not give up but to move forward for better, Amen.

‎Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

‎Reach for better, for He has better waiting for you!
