Let the redeemed of the Lord say so- A redemption story.

He takes what is bad and good puts them all together and turns it in our favour.

The Story of Sampson-Begins from Judges 13 - Judges 16.

I will encourage us to read, it has so much blessings and wisdom. Each time I read I find new insights.

Let's begin with chapter 13, which explains his birth, a dry place bearing fruit, the fruit of the womb and how to take care of greatness found in the womb.

It also teaches us how to nurture the God given seed within us, without contaminating the growth process by listening to people's opinions, culture, negative influences, and wrong teachings based on another's experience. Now let's get back to the story.

Then chapter 14, is where he discovers his talents and gifts, his desires both good and bad is revealed, his weaknesses are seen in this chapter.

Allowing us to see how human we all are, though blessed with extraordinary gifts, talents and callings, we are not perfect.

In chapter 15, you begin to notice, self-reliance, self-dependence and pride in his tone of speech.

This is after he killed his enemies, don't be quick to conclude, this was also after He was betrayed by His own people, that's another point of vulnerability, but you can't also judge the people, because they where also afraid they could loose their lives.

You can see a cycle of betrayal, beginning from his first wife that led to an independent man who needed a safe place to rest, to be comforted, to have peace, to relax or be taken care of.

This leads to chapter 16, here, he fell in love with the wrong person because of a need, even with all the red flags showing. She only had one mission to weaken and deliver him to his enemies.

One would think, that upon the first sign of trouble he would leave. However after being abandoned many times, one would want to hold on to, an imitation of love and peace.

Sometimes they are afraid, or they feel there is no other option.

Sampson ends up being delivered to his enemies and his eyes gouged out and his hair which signified his covenant with Jehovah shaved.

Finally, a fortunate turn of events, as he was in prison, his hair grew, then one day, his enemies (the Philistine rulers) held a great festival, offering sacrifices and praising their gods in their temple.

They asked for Sampson to be brought to entertain them, he was placed at the central pillars that supported the roof.

This time he prayed to God the source of His strength to aid him in paying back his enemies with one blow and to be buried with them.

The God of Heaven's Armies answered his request, Sampson pushed the pillars and the temple crashed down on the Philistines.

Imagine a collapse of a storey building with people inside and on top of the roof. None survived he killed more people in his death than when he was alive.

Today I want you to know, no matter what you've been through, God says it's turning in your favour.

A fortunate series of events, when it happens give Him honour, a worthy offering.

If you want to get to know the Lord, say this prayer, Dear Father, I thank you for making me, I thank you for letting your Son Jesus die for me to reconcile me to you, I received him as my Lord and saviour. I thank you for making me part of your family. Thank you for your love. In Jesus Name, I pray Amen.

Enjoy and have a blessed day. For more details about the story read Judges 13-16.
