Familiar Hands

A wonderful day God has made, filled with His Glory. His Majesty, your Heavenly Father was excited to wake you up this morning and He has something special for you and I'm honoured to deliver it to you.

Welcome from around the world, this is the house of the Lord.

Let's pray:

Heavenly Father, we love you, we receive your word, let it open our eyes and refresh our souls. Let us know more of you. Amen.

Today we would be walking and dinning in a scene of Jesus after His crucifiction from the Book of Luke.

Luke 24:30-31(NLT)

30 As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Than he broke it and gave it to them.

31 Suddenly their eyes were opened and they recognised him. And at that moment he disappeared!

Jesus appears to two of His followers, who do not recognize Him, He interrupts their conversation and ask them about what they were discussing intently as they walked along.

The followers poured their hearts about their sadness and expectations of Jesus being the Messiah and how their leaders had him crucified.

They spoke of the women who witnessed an empty tomb and the angels who met the women telling them, Jesus is alive!

Now upon seeing their unbelieve he points out their foolishness and then takes them step by step through the scriptures teaching about the things concerning Himself. As he made to leave (He acted as if He was going to) they invited Him to their home to stay the night.

It is here that the revelation happens, he blesses and breaks bread. One of the key things that Jesus is known for is breaking bread to feed His people. When they received it their eyes opened and they recognized Him.

Jesus is the Bread of Life, during the last supper before His crucifiction, He broke Bread with his disciples saying "take eat this is my body which is broken for you".

His death is His body broken for you and I. We become part of His body when we receive Him. The church is the Body of Christ, all who have received are one in Him, just like how our bodies have different parts which perform different functions, so is the church.

You and I impact the world with different gifts, all this is given by Him.

I want you to recognise, His signature or handwriting in your every day life, something that makes you know He is with you. Little drops of evidence of His presence.

It's a relationship, you should pay attention to how He sounds, moves, walks and speaks to you and be open to new ways of Him manifesting.

Example you used to have dreams or visions but now you see His glory in clouds, music and you hear Him speaking to you directly in His Word (Bible).

I want you to be interested in knowing His rhythm. He would change it from time to time, it's a spicy relationship, I promise you won't be bored, you'll have to fight to keep up, but He would always walk with you step by step. You would always have peace in His presence.

Father we thank you for your love and for intimately knowing us and walking with us. Help us to know you more, Amen.
