Don't Relent

Welcome fam to the house of the Lord!

We are excited to have you here always. I want you to remember God loves you and He has good plans for you. Trust Him to cover and direct you, Amen!

Father we love you, let Your Spirit flow in us, healing the tired hearts and bones, give us a fresh Spirit in You. Let us be joyful, confident and rejoice in your goodness. Thank you for the word in Jesus Name, Amen.

Today our key words are do not slow down, do not give up, do not loose your grip, do not go back, do not bend, do not soften, do not say yes to what you've already said not to.

Our focus will be on Jephthah of Gilead, one of the Judges of Israel, this was during the time Israel had no Kings but Judges, the Lord was their King.

A quick background, Jephthah was chased out of his father's land by his half-brothers because he was born of a prostitute, however he was a mighty warrior.

But when trouble came knocking, they remembered him and sent word, promising to make him their ruler. From outcast to Judge of Israel.

The trouble was, the Ammonite King wanted to take back the land they lost to Israel. This land was given to Israel by the Lord during their journey though the wilderness after the Lord brought them out of Egypt.

There is something unique about the exchange of messages between Jephthah and the King of Ammon. He makes a statement which is filled with fire. I want us to meditate on it daily anytime we face old enemies.

Judges 11:21-24(NLT)

21 But the Lord, the God of Israel, gave his people victory over King Sihon. So Israel took control of all the land of the Amorites, who lived in that region,

22 from the River Arnon to the River Jabbok, and from the eastern wilderness to the Jordan.

23 "So you see, it was the Lord, the God of Israel, who took away the land from the Amoritea and gave it to Israel. Why, then, should we give it back to you?

24 You keep whatever your god Chemosh gives you and we will keep whatever the Lord our God gives us.

My message is simple, remember every area in your life God has given you victory and don't let it be stolen from you.

It can be victory from an addiction, an old mindset, separation from a harmful friendship or relationship.

It can be to start a new business, studying new courses, creating the podcast or writing the book, don't give up, don't loose focus, don't loose you grip!

Father we thank you for your word, help us to walk it out, show us the way to keep what you've given us we'll, we love you and honour you, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sin, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

Don't relent! Don't give up! Depend on the Lord! He is on our side!
