The link between a tassel and our daily devotion.

Numbers 15:37-41(NLT) is the scripture we would be referring from.

What is a tassel?

A tassels are woven chords attached to the hem of their garments with a blue chord, like fringes on the ends of a clothing.

They are visual reminders of who we are and who God is. They remind the people of His commands, words and instructions. This is to enable them to follow the instructions of the Lord and not their own desires.

He delivered His people from Egypt that He might be their God, the same as how He saved as also, and He declares He is our God.

Tassels where to remind the people to be devoted to God and remember He is our Lord God and covering.

What is devotion?

Devotion is love, loyalty, enthusiasm for a person, dedication, consecration, commitment to a purpose, great love and affection for someone.

Our modern day devotion is like a tassel, day and night we sit and commune with God our covering, our Lord, the Giver of Life, the One who blesses with the harvest.

Constant devotion helps us, hear His voice and not be led astray by our own desires and sense of justice.

Numbers 16, points out a rebellion, showing people fighting with the authority God had given Moses and Aaron, concerning the punishment given to breaking the law of the sabbath is where this begins.

This also exposes the hidden thoughts in their hearts, concerning the appointed leaders God has placed over them, the office God has given them, the comparison and dissatisfaction and the desires to be above many, to be special, the unwillingness to change or move when the Lord says so or gives new instructions.

Being stuck in the past whiles new bread or set of instructions have been given, instigating others to move from their God given path to follow you. Rebellion is what you think, say or do that goes against God's word concerning your life, that of others and any situation as a whole.

Don't be quick to judge and conclude when bad things happen, seek the Lord in prayer. Do not be led by your emotions for the enemy looks for a chance to plant false ideas and teachings.

Numbers 17, reminds us we are called, to each his own office in the Lord. Don't just do anything because it seems good or right or is a Christian thing to do. Not everything is for you. Seek God to know what is yours to do for Him.

Lastly Numbers 18, God gives His chosen or called ones, sets of instructions on how to walk or perform the duties needed in the office He has given them or called them to.

If your office is to teach, He would give you set of instructions, if yours is to start a business, He would give you specific instructions, if yours is to be part of the government, He will instruct you on what to do, the kingdom isn't limited to the church.

It is beyond your imagination.

Devotion is for you to receive your daily bread and instructions from God. You can't use yesterday's bread for today. He would always have fresh set of instructions and bread for you.

Dear Lord, we lay down our desires and crowns and worship you, please show us your ways and what you expect from us, for the kingdom is yours, help us carry out your instructions. We thank you, In Jesus Name Amen.
