Blessed With Enough

Exodus 16:14-18(NLT)

14 When the dew evaporated, a flaky substance as fine as frost blanketed the ground.

15 The Israelites were puzzled when they saw it. "What is it?" they asked each other. They had no idea what it was. And Moses told them, "It is the food the Lord has given you to eat.

16 These are the Lord's instructions: Each household should gather as much as it needs. Pick up two litres for each person in your tent."

17 So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little.

18 But when they measured it out, everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing leftover, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed.

Good morning, this is the day the Lord has made we would rejoice and be glad in it.

Today's message is The Blessing of Enough.

To have enough is to be given a calculated or measured out portion according to your needs.

To have enough is also, to have the exact resources required to execute a given work.

Sometimes we think we need more of something, it can be resource or skill or ideas or people.

You need to understand quantity doesn't mean quality. To have so much doesn't guarantee the success of a work.

Example, you are to bake a pie. You need specific ingredients which are required in the recipe to be able to make that specific pie.

If it is an apple pie, you'll need apples and not mangoes. Having excess of unwanted ingredients doesn't produce the apple pie.

Just like the new move God is doing through you and the places you'll be soon stepping, he has given you the talent, skill, idea, favour and grace, which is enough for what He wants you to do.

The temptation to feel inadequate, unprepared, becomes high when we compare with what others have brought to the table.

Remember the story of how David killed Goliath, he didn't have any weapon when he got to the place. At the place was where he selected stones which brought down a giant.

Quit worrying, when the time comes, the Holy Spirit who resides in you will give you the right idea and plan on the spot, believe it.

Don't cower or be timid or feel less than. Don't try to increase what you have, by doing unnecessary things.

It's like pumping air into your pie so it looks big. No one will be able to enjoy or savour how delicious it is, they would only taste air.

That pie God makes you create, no matter what pie it is, business, politics, music, ministry, has specific people he wants you to give it to, plus specific effect it will have.

Special cuisines for special people.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to use what you give us to your glory, no matter how it looks we bring it before you and receive wisdom and insight to execute it. We love you Lord Amen.

I invite you to make Jesus the Lord of your life, Dear Jesus, I repent of my sins, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for your love and teach me to be like you. Amen.
