Wake up fam! Duty calls!
It's important to rise and listen to the instructions given for us to follow. Be open and ready to receive.
Let's pray:
Father we honour you and glorify your name, let our hearts be drawn to you, let us walk in obedience to your word and let us be free to depend on you.
Let the weights of our call and mission or purpose not cause us to be stiff and tight, but let us have a flow, flexible and filled with a radical zeal plus most importantly joy.
We thank you for your word, our bread in Jesus Name, Amen.
Let have a seat in Numbers 17&18, we dine in those pages:
•The Budding of Aaron's Staff:
The people of Israel complained and questioned the leadership and authority of Moses and Aaron and some people tried to rebel. To put an end to this, the Lord gave sets of instructions, which would be a public announcement and affirmation, like a swearing in of a leader.
Numbers 17:2(NLT)
2 Tell the people of Israel to bring you twelve wooden staffs, one from each leader of Israel's ancestral tribes, and inscribe each leaders name on his staff.
Numbers 17:4-5(NLT)
4 Place these staffs in the Tabernacle in front of the Ark containing the tablets of the Covenant, where I meet with you.
5 Buds will sprout on the staff belonging to the man I choose. Than I will finally put an end to the people's murmuring and complaining against you."
Numbers 17:7-8(NLT)
7 Moses placed the staffs in the Lord's presence in the Tabernacle of the covenant.
8 When he went into the Tabernacle of the Covenant the next day, he found that Aaron's staff, representing the tribe of Levi, had sprouted, budded, blossomed, and produced ripe almonds!
Notes:
This is what happens when you are chosen and authorized for the mission, as many are called, few are given the honour to walk it into completion.
Numbers 17:10(NLT)
10 And the Lord said to Moses: "Place Aaron's staff permanently before the Ark of the Covenant to serve as a warning to rebels. This should put an end to their complaints against me and prevent any further deaths. ”
Notes:
This authorization is permanent and is passed from generation to generation. All of this would occur in His presence, always planted, rooted, walking and abiding in Him which gives you success in all you do.
•Duties and Support:
When God calls and chooses you He gives you your duties, tasks or responsibilities or mission you are to work towards and also the people required to assist you.
Numbers 18:6-7(NLT)
6 I myself have chosen your fellow Levites among the Israelites to be your special assistants. They are a gift to you, dedicated to the Lord for service in the Tabernacle.
7 But you and your sons, the priests must personally handle all the priestly rituals associated with the altar and with everything behind the inner curtain. I am giving you the priesthood as your special privilege of service. Any unauthorized person who comes too near the sanctuary will be put to death.
Notes: That's why when people leave, or don't support your vision, you must not chase after them or force them, because it shows they are not authorized to follow you, their fading away represents the death.
•Heavenly Support and resources:
I would highlight a few verses I want us to pay attention to, but more details is found in chapter 18. The Lord provides all that you need to execute the task set before you, it may be to start a conference, or go back to school or study finance or develop a business. So do not worry, he has the best for you.
Numbers 18:12(NLT)
12 "I also give you the harvest gifts brought by the people as offerings to the Lord-the best of the olive tree, new wine, and grain.
Numbers 18:10(NLT)
10 You must eat it as a most holy offering. All the males may eat of it, and you must treat it as most holy.
Note:
When you are blessed with the means, resources or gifts see it as a gift from God and honour it, pay your tithe to the Lord and give thanks (chapter 18 explains more details) and use it, don't be religious about it.
Read Matthew 10:1-42, it explains what it means to be called. Here Jesus sends out His disciples, which is you and I. And teaches them how to receive hospitality when given, how to behave when not received, explains their mission and the types of people they would face along the journey.
I believe some of you are walking in yours, but in each new stage and season, for every new territory or endeavor, you are given authority to lay hold of it, to be covered and protected, plus to be successful.
Let's receive:
Dear Lord, create in me a clean heart, I confess my sins, renew a right spirit within me, I say yes to your call, I say yes to your covenant and I receive your authority to move in this next chapter of my life. I thank you for the mission and your support plus all resources provided. I bless you and honour you! Glory! Glory! Glory! To your Holy Name.
Give the Lord a praise and thanksgiving offering.
If you don't know Jesus, but you want to have a relationship with Him, to be a part of the Kingdom He is building, say with me:
Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen!
You are authorised to work! Approved!
