Answered Prayer for Freedom

‎Hi fam, this is the day of rest for me and I'm excited about the new things I would be discovering about myself. A quick question, what does today and the season look like for you? I want you to welcome the Lord to bless your day and season.

‎Father we worship you, we love you, we are grateful for you and we thank you for today's bread, it's already filled with nourishing ingredients, let this word teach each one of us how to prepare our own cuisine, we thank you, Amen.

‎Let's eat:

‎1 Chronicles 4:9-10(NLT)

‎9 There was a man named Jabez who was more honourable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful.

‎10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!" And God granted him his request!

‎Notes:

‎•Jabez prayed for many beautiful things. I want us to pay attention to a specific prayer "keep me from pain". In verse 9, his mother named him " pain".

‎People take the shape and form of the names given to them, it becomes their identity. If you are called Wisdom or Belle or Smarty you realise you become it.

‎How? Because you respond to it and agree to it. Names are very powerful, so don't let there be negative labels flying around you, refuse those names and politely ask people not to call you by that label. The scripture tells as he was more honourable this means he didn't become a pain to others.

‎If you are in a situation were you feel you can't do much, just refuse it within you, you can say it in your heart or when you are alone, it still holds power.

‎•God's Answer to Jabez:

‎1. He gave him the opportunity to have a new name.

‎2. He delivered him from becoming the name he was given.

‎3. God kept him from receiving pain as well as living from the mindset of a victim.

‎4. God blessed him and expanded his territory and endeavors.

‎5. God was with him permanently in all he did.

‎6. God kept him from trouble, meaning the Lord fought His battles.

‎7. Finally, God healed him from what caused him pain and sorrow.

‎8 Though labelled God caused him to be more honourable than how people called him.

‎I don't know your request to God, but I pray that if it is in alignment with the plans of the Lord concerning you, it comes to pass in Jesus Name, Amen.

‎Let's pray:

‎Father, teach us to walk in this new version of ourselves, open our eyes to see the answers to our prayers, including the prayers we forget about. We thank you and receive your love, Amen.
