An appointed time

‎Hi fam,

‎I bring an interesting message today. If you are new, welcome to the House of Bread, here, we are served daily and directly from the Master's Table. But before we dine, let's give thanks:

‎Father we honour you and we thank you for all you've done in our lives, the plans you have for us are always good, prepare our hearts to receive this word. Give us a new perspective of what is around us. Let our fire not be quenched but steady and consistent like your love, we love you, Amen.

‎Let's break bread:

‎Our scripture is from the book of Habakkuk a prophet of God in the old testament. He laid before God his complaints about an unbearable situation happening to his people and promises to redeem. He shows him a vision for a future time.

‎Habakkuk 2:1-3(NLT)

‎1 I will climb up to my watch tower and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint.

‎2 Then the Lord said to me, "Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.

‎3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

‎There are times God shows as visions, we carry those visions in our hearts expecting it to happen soon. Our hopes and expectations are on fire.

‎Then He tells us "a future time". Now we say an " appointed time". Why? Because we know our God is intentional and has things in order for us.

‎Everyone's reaction to this message is different. Some are hopeful, others give up because of fatigue, others just go about their day not expecting to see.

‎Especially if you got a glimpse of what it looks like, it feels like it will happen any moment from now.

‎What do we do when it is not a delay, but we are asked to wait patiently?

‎•Do not shut your door to the promise.

‎•Do not close your ears because you are tired of hearing it is coming but haven't seen it yet.

‎•Do not give up your preparation mode.

‎•Climb up to your Watchtower, your Watchtower is God. He is watching over His word and looking after you, go and rest and lean on Him.

‎•Stand at your guard post, that is stand at your appointed position, do not let the enemy whisper lies that it won't come.

‎•Finally be expectant like a pregnant woman. What does she do? She begins to prep and get ready for her child to be born. She makes the baby's room.

‎Since the doctor gave her a glimpse of the child's gender, it enables her to prepare well to accommodate her baby. She now knows the colours to use and the types of clothes to buy. She isn't left wondering but steady on a journey to birth.

‎•God is our doctor, the visions confirm we are on the right path and anything that doesn't look like what He has shown us or doesn't move towards the direction He has pointed us to, can be easily identified and brought before God in prayer so we are not easily misled.

‎Dear brothers and sisters, Father says it will be fulfilled, if it seems slow in coming wait patiently.

‎Let's pray:

‎Father thank you for your love we receive it, make us, as sure-footed as a deer, to tread upon the heights you have called us to, Amen.

‎If you want to have a relationship with Jesus, who was there from the beginning and who will walk with you every step of the way, say with me:

‎Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

‎Wait patiently, for the coming one will come and not delay, He loves you and don't doubt it.
