Welcome Fam!

The Lord loves you and sees all that you do. Every effort made into becoming who you are called to be is honoured. Let us be thankful to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures.

Let's pray:

Father we thank you for todays bread, speak to us, breathe on us and fill us with a fresh pour of your Spirit, Amen.

Scripture: Luke 3 & 4

Today we would be in the book of Luke chapter 3 & 4, I've been paying attention to the events that happen to Jesus in these chapters, which sometimes I see occurring in my personal walk with God.

I am sharing, so you can also see yours. Before I give you the key points, I would expand a bit on the events and summarise with the points.

Let's break bread:

-Chapter 3:

In this chapter the way is being prepared by John the Baptist you can call it preparation, clearing of the path, expansion to allow something or make room or develop capacity to receive.

Then the Holy Spirit descends on Jesus and rests on Him, you can say being filled with the Holy Spirit, an impartation. Then approval and confirmation from God.

-Chapter 4:

Here, Jesus is led by the Spirit into the wilderness and tempted by the devil after this He is ministered to by angels, you find it in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. He is refreshed, re-energised and filled with power.

From the wilderness He goes to doing work in many places, but goes to a familiar place, his childhood home, I would like to call the place His past and He is rejected by them.

He is not received by the people, when they couldn't understand the how, even though they could see the now, they wanted to label him by the past because they couldn't relate.

To them, He grew up there and now all of a sudden different, but they are still the same. Instead of drawing near to ask questions to be also transformed, they down played what they saw to their level.

Unwilling to move into the new, but forced Him to the edge of the cliff wanting Him to fall from the cliff. In my translation it's called wanting me to come to your level. The cool thing is he walked right pass through them on his way to fulfill His assignment.

In Luke 4:42-44, you can see He knew when to rest and when to move to the next place, to not be stagnant in one miracle or former glory but pressing on further to the next place He was sent.

Key Points in the Sequence:

•Preparation

•Clearing of the path

• Expansion to receive, making room or developing capacity

•Impartation, being filled by the Holy Spirit

•Approval and Confirmation from God.

•Led into the wilderness

•Temptation by the devil

•Victory, ministered to (Refreshed or re-energised) and filled with power.

•Begins work

•Rejection at a familiar place (home)

•The escape or resistance to walking in a past self.

•Moving Forward

•Knowing to Rest (Intentional Rest)

•Resisting stagnation and moving to the next (Always in the flow of Father)

This sequence is repeated in every season, it doesn't just happen once it's a continuous cycle, if you really pay attention you'll notice. It helps you see that you are leveling up.

Let's pray:

Dear Lord, we receive your word, help us to walk in each stage, let our eyes be open to see what you are doing in our lives, we receive a fresh flow of your Spirit and Healing, grant us your rest and peace, Amen.

Do you want to know Jesus, say with me:

Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

Stay blessed, you are not random!
