A Prayer for Understanding

Lovely fam, what a joy to wake up in His presence. He woke us up this morning happy to talk to us and reveal to us the good things He has prepared for us.
And it's my honour to serve you with the delicious meal He has prepared. But before we eat let's give thanks:
Father we love you and receive your love, we pray you open our hearts to receive, no distractions but new perspectives and wisdom to be One with you and your body (the church), we thank you for this meal, Amen.
Let's eat:
1 Corinthians 14:10-11(NLT)
10 There are many different languages in the world, and every language has meaning.
11 But if I don't understand a language, I will be a foreigner to someone who speaks it, and the one who speaks it will be a foreigner to me.
1 Corinthians 14:21(NLT)
21 It is written in the Scriptures: "I will speak to my own people through strange languages and through the lips of foreigners. But even then, they will not listen to me," says the Lord.
Have you ever spoken to someone and felt the person didn't understand what you were saying based on the response the person gave?
It happens to all of us sometimes. There are times we are the ones who misinterpret the words we hear.
It's not just limited to words that we hear, but includes what we see and feel. Today's scripture talks about the many languages God has created in His body and not everyone sounds like you or thinks like you or processes like you.
But we are of one body. Each branch has a different sound or fruit but that doesn't make them independent of the tree. The tree (Jesus) is the source.
That is how the church is. A body of Christ with different functions, some are the eyes, others the feet and hands, whiles some are the ears who listen and prophecy or give divine announcements.
Today I want us to pray for understanding, not just to have a better relationship with those around but to be able to unite together as a body and not have language barriers. Let's pray:
Father thank you for making us branches in your body, help us to understand the unique language and sound of each part. Let those barriers in our ears be removed and give our hearts understanding to be able to discern your voice in the sound of fellow believers. Keep us away from false voices and frauds disguising as you. Let them be revealed immediately. We thank you for unity as a body, Amen.
If you want to have a relationship with Jesus and know His voice for He is the good Shepherd say with me:
Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.
It's a good day enjoy!
