1 Samuel 10:6-7(NLT)

‎6 At that time the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person.

‎7 After these signs take place, do what must be done, for God is with you.

‎Hi fam, it's a new day, with fresh breath to live in the Lord's goodness. I want to encourage everyone that there is more. Today's bread is special and kneaded by the Masters hand with love and warmth. Before we sit, let's give thanks.

‎Dear Lord, thank you for your bread, let it fill every area of our lives, let every need be met, let your fragrance and presence fill our hearts and abide with us everywhere we go, heal our hearts and grant us your peace and understanding, Amen.

‎The background of our scripture is based on the story of a man named Saul who is chosen by God to be King of Israel. Samuel the prophet anoints him as King and gave him specific signs as confirmation.

‎Before this took place or the reason why this happened in the first place was because the people of Israel wanted a king so they asked God for one.

‎Now Saul encounters Samuel whiles searching for his father's missing donkeys. It interesting to note that Saul went to see Samuel for missing donkeys only to be anointed as king.

‎Have you ever sought God concerning a specific need only to come back with an inheritance, an identity, a knowing of His love and a too good to be true blessing? That's how my journey of knowing God was like.

‎There are things I want us to pay attention to when God chooses us (lol cos He has already chosen you).

‎- His Spirit comes powerfully upon us: He rests in us.

‎-We begin to utter or prophesy the promises of God over our lives: This is a change in language and speech. No more do you say "I can't" you now say "I am well able".

‎- You become a different person: Person speaks to your personality and temperament. A transformation of your being and existence. Who you are, your identity, your thought process, your reactions, your patterns, all becomes different. You will not be easily associated with the past.

‎When you realise the change, don't fight it, it may seem foreign and unfamiliar but embrace it. Get to know this different version of you better. Silence all the negative voices in your head that criticises the new you. Be free.

‎-You receive a new heart:

‎1 Samuel 10:9(NLT)

‎9 As Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart, and all Samuel's signs were fulfilled that day.

‎God gives you a new heart of boldness, courage, joy, peace, wisdom, a desire to love and serve the Lord, and a trust in Him. This replaces the heart of fear, sadness, anger, bitterness, guilt etc.

‎- God is with us, walks with us, talks with you and is One with you:

‎For me that is the coolest gift, the gift of His presence, the intimacy with Him, being able to tell Him my worries, fears, insecurities and to allow Him to bring me out from the baggage.

‎He has your back and takes care of you for you are His person.

‎Let's pray:

‎Lord we thank you for your word, let everyone see you as a Father who loves, as a mother who nurtures, as a close friend, let all wrong perceptions about you come tumbling down and let only the truth remain, we love you and receive your love, Amen.

‎If you want to receive Jesus the Lover of your soul and the precious gift of His Holy Spirit abiding with you, if yes say with me:

‎Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

‎God is with you don't be afraid.
