‎A Beautiful Exit

‎Beautiful family,

‎Welcome take a seat, have some water. This is the House of Bread and we are going to be served a beautiful meal from Father's Table.

‎I pray the sweet breath of the Lord fill your body and every weariness dissipate, Amen.

‎Father, we thank you for this meal, let it nourish us, heal our bones, strengthen us for the big moves ahead, Amen.

‎Let's eat:

‎A new beginning to write your own story, it may not seen like you have the best tools, but use what you have to write.

‎I want to talk about a Queen many people don't speak of, Queen Vashti. In The Book of Esther, chapter one, we are introduced to a queen who had a voice and in some people's eyes it costed her, her position or prestige.

‎But I beg to differ, in my mind I believe, it led to everything she could ever want, "Freedom". A freedom to have your own voice, your own tastes, your own house, your own desires, a freedom to be yourself.

‎Now let me tell you what happened but please read in your spare time, lol!

‎King Xerxes who ruled 127 provinces stretching from India to Ethiopia was celebrating the third year of his reing. He displayed all his wealth and splendour to all those he invited, from the least to the greatest, 180 days of celebration and 7 days he gave a banquet.

‎At the same time, Queen Vashti gave a banquet for the women in the royal palace.

‎On the seventh day of the feast, when the King was in high spirits because of all the wine he had drunk he sent his eunuchs to bring Queen Vashti to him.

‎Esther 1:11-12(NLT)

‎11 to bring Queen Vashti with the royal crown on her head. He wanted the nobles and all that other men to gaze on her beauty, for she was a very beautiful woman.

‎12 But when they conveyed the King's order to Queen Vashti, she refused to come. This made the king furious, and he burned with anger.

‎To be honest as I read the text, I didn't like it, it felt as if she was an ornament for display, you don't see him, treasuring her and keeping her safe. But to be on display in front of many men.

‎It doesn't show honour. Some might say he just wanted to show off, but I question if it's was the proper thing to do, he would have done this with a sober mind in the beginning, where he could have properly introduce her and honoured her, he didn't.

‎Now he is drunk and not of sound judgment.

‎Ladies pay attention to the value Queen Vashti placed on herself, she chose herself and honored herself. The reward she got in my opinion was a beautiful opportunity to rewrite her story with her own pen and not with the ink of people who didn't value her.

‎Esther 1:19(NLT)

‎19 "So if it please the king, we suggest that you issue a written decree, a law of the Persians and Medes that cannot be revoked. It should order that Queen Vashti be forever banished from the presence of King Xerxes, and that the king should choose another queen more worthy than she.

‎My favorite part about this is she doesn't have to come in contact with those who didn't value her and they can't come back after the realise her value. You see this in chapter 2.

‎She gets to be free to write her own story, without all the rules locking her down. She used to host women in the place owned by people who didn't cherish her, I can imagine that she gets to host her own tea party at her own home finally.

‎A beautiful exit indeed.

‎For those who are waiting, soon my dear, soon.

‎Father thank you for the light you shine on our path, let your light radiate from within, we love you and receive your love, Amen.

‎If you want to have a relationship with Jesus, who is a different kind of King, one who loves you and honours you, He is the King of Kings, He gave His life so you and I can be free, if yes say with me:

‎Dear Jesus, come into my heart, I make you my Lord and Saviour, I repent of my sins, I believe you died on the cross to reconcile me back to God, I receive your love and new life, Amen.

‎It's going to be a beautiful exit.
